The Florida Herbal Conference is proud dedicate the Peggy Sias Lantz Florida Botanical Excellence Award at the 2022 event. This annual award will be presented to an individual whose contribution to Florida botanical education, conservation, and community has made a significant impact upon our community and future generations. The inaugural presentation is made to the award's namesake, octogenarian author and naturalist Peggy Sias Lantz, for her lifetime achievement of writings, research, teachings, and land stewardship that have made Florida's botanical community richer for generations to come. Peggy founded the Florida Native Plant Society and has served on numerous boards and organizations dedicated to conservation in Central Florida.
